RAGDOLL KITTENS FOR SALE
We have been raising Ragdoll kittens for sale for almost 10 years. Our initial research on purebred Ragdoll cats online made us fall in love with a picture of a seal-mitted Ragdoll. We then visited a breeder who had Ragdoll kittens for sale near us, along with another breed, the Bengal. The Ragdoll cats were friendly and laid-back, which made us fall for them. However, the decision was easy because the Bengals were the opposite.
I then joined The International Cat Association and the Cat Fanciers’ Association. A couple of years later, there was a Ragdoll Cat Congress (a cat show) in Las Vegas, where I enjoyed seeing many different Ragdoll kittens from all over the USA and overseas. Fast forward to today, I have been raising Ragdoll kittens for sale longer than any cattery within several hundred miles.
When you adopt a Ragdoll kitten from me, it will be litter trained, spayed or neutered, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming. My cats are also Felv/Fiv negative, and my adults have been tested for diseases such as HCM. Ragdoll cats are undoubtedly the perfect indoor and leisure felines—elegant in appearance, yet placid and easygoing. They are deeply attached to their owners and happily spend their days lounging on the sofa. Undoubtedly, the Ragdoll cat is one of the most captivating breeds you should explore as soon as possible if you’re still uncertain.

Description and Characteristics of Ragdoll Cats
The Ragdoll is a cat with an imposing build, particularly the males, which are often significantly larger than the females. Like the Birman, its basic coat pattern is called “colour point”—a solid, light-toned colour (ranging from white to cream) with darker-coloured extremities (typically in shades of grey). There are also bicolour varieties.
The breed standard typically requires Ragdolls to have blue eyes, and they may have facial patterns resembling a mask. Their semi-long, abundant fur is reminiscent of that of their cousin, the Persian. Physically, they have a relatively heavy frame, a broad face, and small, triangular ears. Their legs are somewhat short, with rounded, wide paws, and their long tail is carried in a “plume.”
History and Origins of Ragdolls
The Ragdoll breed is relatively recent, having originated in the 1960s in California as the result of a cross between a Persian Angora-type cat (without pedigree) and a Sacred Birman. This breeding, initiated by Persian breeder Ann Baker, initially seemed risky but produced kittens with an exceptionally sociable, non-aggressive, and extremely affectionate temperament.
Ann Baker, delighted with this unexpected result and convinced of the breed’s potential, decided to refine and establish it. She named the breed “Ragdoll,” meaning “rag doll,” in reference to the cats’ calm and pliable nature. Through further selective breeding, the Ragdoll developed into the breed we know today. It was officially recognized in the United States in 1971 and introduced to France in 1986.
How to take care of Ragdoll cats
The Ragdoll requires regular brushing, as its fur tends to tangle. Brushing also helps maintain the health of its coat and skin, especially during shedding seasons. A warm bath can be beneficial for removing dead hair, followed by gentle brushing.
It is recommended to brush their teeth at least once a week to help prevent gingivitis. Additionally, it is important to regularly check the condition of their eyes and ears. If impurities are present, use a clean, soft cloth to wipe the corners of the eyes or a cotton pad soaked in lukewarm water, ensuring a fresh pad is used for each eye.
If the inside of the ears appears waxy, they should be cleaned with a cotton ball soaked in lukewarm water and a 50% diluted solution of apple cider vinegar. Alternatively, you can use a veterinary-approved product designed for this purpose.
Finally, it is important to monitor the length of the claws and trim them if necessary using a suitable nail clipper, available at pet stores. If you are unsure how to do this, ask your veterinarian for guidance.
